Chipped or cracked?
Repair or replace? We'll give you an honest answer
A small chip can often be repaired quickly and for far less than a new windscreen, but only if it's caught early. Left alone, chips can spread into cracks that mean a full replacement.
Will it pass its MOT?
Damage larger than 10mm in the area directly in front of the driver (Zone A), or larger than 40mm elsewhere in the area swept by the wipers, is an MOT failure. Not sure? Send us a photo and we'll tell you.

Small chips can often be repaired rather than replaced, stopping the damage from spreading.

Honest advice, fair prices and friendly service. Don't just take our word for it.
Firstly, if I could give 10 stars, I would. During the heatwave, my windscreen completely cracked. The next day, I was due to hand the car back to the lease company… I found 1st Choice and got straight through to Ian at 9:15pm. Where others had told me there was no chance of getting it replaced in time, Ian… managed to source the glass and get it fitted the following lunch time. All round legends. Thanks all!

Yes. Our mobile service covers Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, so we can carry out most work at your home or workplace. You're also welcome to visit our workshop at 6 Clarke Road, Bletchley.
Can my chipped windscreen be repaired?
Often, yes, especially if the chip is small and you act quickly. Send us a photo with your quote request and we'll let you know whether a repair is possible or a replacement is needed.
Does my car need ADAS calibration after a new windscreen?
If your car has a camera mounted behind the windscreen for features such as Adaptive Cruise Control or Autonomous Emergency Braking, it will need calibrating after a replacement. Our technicians calibrate to manufacturer specifications, which usually takes around 2 to 3 hours.
Do you work on vans and commercial vehicles?
Yes. As well as cars, we fit towbars to vans, replace glass on commercial vehicles, agricultural vehicles and plant machinery, and carry out bespoke van conversions. Get in touch to discuss what you need.
Which towbar do I need?
It depends on your vehicle, what you plan to tow and whether you want the towbar hidden when not in use. We'll recommend the right towbar and electrics for your needs, rather than the most expensive option.
